Balance + Core (Livestream) 11.2.2023
Today's class has two of my favorites, balance & core! We find balance in the flows, focused on maintaining our balance as we move from pose to pose. And we focus on core work in three separate drills that follow each flow. I also throw in a moment of balance (tree, dancer, standing pigeon) after each drill :).

Balance (Livestream) 9.7.2023
Today in class, the name of the game is balance! And I mean the standing on one leg for a really long time kind of balance :). But seriously, in this class Half Moon is our anchor pose. We come in and out of it multiple times with many different variations. Each time upping the ante a little more. We wrap things up in a nice headstand. Of course you always have the option to come into pigeon or another finishing pose.

We come in and out of it multiple times with many different variations. We wrap things up with a nice headstand at the end of class. Happy Thanksgiving! In this livestream class the focus is on balance, pretty much from start to finish. Poses you'll get to balance in are: Tree, Warrior 3, Standing Pigeon, Half Moon, Crow & Headstand! Good times :) We'll also be focused on creating very strong anchors within each balancing pose. First starting with whatever is on the floor, and then making our way up!

We'll focus on balancing poses like Warrior Three, Half Moon & Crow, throwing in a few challenging variations of each. We'll of course be practicing many one legged poses like Eagle, Half Moon & Warrior Three. But we'll also be finding our balance in a flow, as we move from one pose to the next, coming in and out of each several times. This is a perfect yoga workout if you're looking to improve your balance, or tend to fall over when you stand on one leg :)

In today's livestream class we turn the focus back to balance, because who couldn't use a little more balance in their lives right now?! As you make your way through the workout, I really want you to focus on your anchors within each pose that help keep you steady and balance. Usually that's whatever's on the floor (feet, hands, elbows, your head, etc.) But we can also create secondary anchors in poses that provide balance, (your elbow in your knee in Extended Side Angle, fingertips on your shin in Triangle, palms pushed together in Tree. Be subtle with your body today and push your balance just a little bit further :)

Balance (Quickie) 12.17.2021
In this Quickie Balance Workout we start by standing on one leg in Standing Pigeon, using this as our benchmark for how focused we are and how well we balance at the beginning of class. We then come back to Standing Pigeon with a challenging variation at the end, with more focus and better (hopefully!) balance. From there we play around with Standing Split & Rotated Half Moon, focused on smooth transitions in and out of each, keeping our centers, anchors & balance. If you only have a little time and want to focus on your balance, this is a good one!

We turn the focus back to balance in this Livestream Yoga Workouts, because who couldn't use a little more balance over the holidays?! So we'll do the standing on one leg thing, poses like Tree, Eagle & Dancer. But we'll also work on setting clear anchors within poses, and start to peel them away one by one as we transition from one pose to the next. If you're looking to work on your balance then this is the PERFECT class for you. And if you're not looking to work on balance...well you really should :)

Core + Balance (Livestream) 12.4.2021
We double up our focus in this Livestream Yoga Workout on both core and balance. We kick things off seated, our start of choice for December, and slowly start to build things from there. But it's really when we get to Tree Pose (about 20 minutes into class) that we begin setting the tone for the rest of class with both balancing poses and core HIIT drills. I loved this workout (and no I don't love all workouts equally), and highly recommend it if you're wanting to improve your balance as well as strengthen your core.

Balance 11.30.2021
Bringing it back to Balance today! And I do a little bit of a balancing act myself, flying without a mat, with a 15 foot drop behind me. I know. It seemed like a good idea at the time. Today the real focus on transitions, very tricky transitions, maintaining our balance as we move from one pose to another. It's not the most relaxing workout, but you'll definitely come out feeling more balanced!

Balance 11.16.2021
We turn the focus back Balance in this Short Yoga Workout. We start off balancing in tree, creating clear anchors through the bottom of the foot, where the foot meets the inner thigh, and the palms. The more anchors, the more support, the easier it is to balance. From there we build up a challenging Crescent, Warrior Three, Half Moon sequence, running it through 3 times with different arm variations, each time a little more challenging. We wrap things up back in Tree, more focused, more anchored, more balanced. If you're looking to work on balance, I highly recommend this class!

We turn the focus to Balance in this Livestream Yoga Workout, which means we're going to be standing on one leg...a lot! We're also working our way towards Bird of Paradise...which means we'll be warming up our shoulders, hips & hamstrings A LOT to find success in this pose. This is a fantastic class if this is a pose you've been wanting to make progress with. We also do a bound Half Moon pose as well...what?! Good times!

In this Livestream Yoga Class, we turn the focus back to balance. But instead of the 'moment of balance' where we do Tree on the right, then the left, and then getting back to the flow we kick each sequence off standing on one leg, using Warrior Three as the transition. Tree, & Eagle are our balance poses of choice. Then we wrap things off with a sweet 5 Minute Tripod Headstand practice. Or a combo of dolphin and bridge pose if you're not coming upside down. This is the perfect class for developing focus!

Shot in the Arroyo Seco (dry canyon), an 8 mile canyon winding its was through Pasadena, we turn the focus to balance in this weekly yoga workout. We kick things off standing on one leg in tree, feeling what it's like to balance before practice. Then we come back to that same pose 30 minutes later, feeling what it's like to balance after class. And I do a balancing act myself, under a bridge and up on a ledge, good times!
