    As part of the schedule this week, we're taking the focus back to the Core! We kick things off in Cat & Cow, warming up the front and back of our bodies. Then we dive into a couple modified side plank variations, creating clear anchors and extensions in each pose. Tree sets up the next couple of sequences, using our middles to hold several poses together, building stability. Then we wrap things off with side plank and a few core focused HIIT drills. Good times!

    We have a dual focus in this Livestream Yoga Workout: Core + Flexibility. We start off in Child's Pose, taking a moment to slow things down and find our breath. Then we dive in with a short Cat & Cow warmup, focused on stretching the back of our body (preparing for backbends later) while engaging the front of our body, activating our core. The first half of class is focused on building strength, stamina & stability in the front of our body, using our core to support pose after pose. From there we dive into flexibility in the back of our bodies with a series of backbend sequences. I love this dual focus and HIGHLY recommend this class :)

    Shot in Wailea, with West Maui in the distance, in Day 2 we turn the focus to Core, making sure those 2020 pandemic bellies are gone for good! We kick things off on our hands and knees both activating the front of our bodies while we warm up our backs. From there we move into a modified side plank, setting the stage for more challenging variations to come. From there we flow through a Warrior One, Warrior Two, Extended Side Angle, Triangle & Half Moon Series, using our core to stabilize each pose. The HIIT drills are super focused in this class, on the Core of course!

    We have a dual focus in this Livestream Yoga Workout: Core + Flexibility. We start off in Child's Pose, taking a moment to slow things down and find our breath. Then we dive in with a short warmup, focused on stretching the back of our body while engaging the front of our body, beginning to activate our core. Then we alternate between flexibility focused sequences and core focused HIIT drills. It's a great combo and one of my favorite practices!

    Day 1 kicks off our Five Day Core Series. We start class on our hands and knees, feeling the difference between when your core is engaged and when it's not. From there we move into Tree Pose, using our core to help us balance and anchor us in the pose. This leads into a Warrior Two, Extended Side Angle, Triangle series, where we use the tools learned in Tree to make smooth transitions from pose to pose. Then it's on backs for a series of 'sit-up' inspired core exercises.

    It's all about building strength & stability in the middle of our bodies in this Core focused Lifestream Class. We kick things off seated, our start of choice for September, taking a moment to find our beginning. From there we dive into a fun Warrior Two Series, warming things up, which will come in handy for Core focused poses down the road. This class was a ton of FUN! Or at least as fun as a core focused class can be :)

    We turn the focus back to CORE in this Livestream Yoga Workout, building strength, stamina & stability in the middle of our bodies. We kick things off in Child's Pose, our start of choice for August, letting our back body and belly relax. From there we dive into a Crescent series, building stability and stamina in both our core and shoulder girdle, as well as space in our hip flexors (which will come in handy later!) We have 3 HIIT drills in class throughout class, all focused on building upper body & Core strength. We wrap things up with another Tripod Headstand Practice, our focus for all of August :)

    In Day 2 of our Five Day Core Series, we use modified side plank to kick things off, activating and waking up our core. From there we flow between Warrior 1 to Warrior 2, going from a backbend to no backbend, setting up the next sequence of poses. From there we move into a standing series with challenging variations, focusing on using our core to anchor us in Reverse Warrior, Extended Side Angle, and Triangle. Then we wrap it all up with 4 separate core drills at the end, a.k.a. sit ups :)

    We turn the focus back to CORE in this Livestream Yoga Workout, building strength, stamina & stability in the middle of our bodies. We kick things off seated, our start of choice for September, taking a moment to find our beginning. From there we dive into a fun Warrior One Salutation, creating space in both our backs and shoulder girdle, which will come in handy for Core focused poses down the road. I also pepper in both Crow and Tripod Headstand throughout the class, each time upping the ante with a more challenging variation. This class was FUN! It has a great flow and we really hit our stride by the middle of the workout.

    Day 6 in The Hawaii Series and we've made our way to Oahu...woohoo! With Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head as our backdrop, we turn our focus back to Core, building strength and stamina in the middle of our body. We kick things off with a little Cat & Cow warming things up, and then we dive right in. With each sequence we dive a little deeper, challenging sequences that focus directly on our core, using the front of our body to support the back of our body. Oh...and we do burpees! UGH!

    Shot downtown on the east side, outside of an abandoned building, we take the focus back to building a strong and stable core. We jump right in with a little Cat & Cow, alternating between stretching our backs and engaging our abs. Then we dive into three very Core focused sequences, upping the ante with each. To break up each sequence we though in a Core HIIT drill. So, it's pretty much core from start to finish. One note: always take care of your back! If you feel at any point somethings too much, find a modification that works for you.

    In this Core Focused, 5 Minute Yoga Flow, the focus is on building strength, stamina & stability in the middle of our bodies. We start standing (we only have 5 minutes!) and with each pose we keep coming back to the core, keeping it engaged and awake, providing anchors and support. A perfect yoga class first thing in the morning or as a yoga break during the day!

    We focus on build core strength, core stamina, and core stability in this Zoom Yoga workout! We kick things off with a short cat & cow warmup, stretching the back of our bodies while we engage and warm up the front. From there, in pose after pose, we keep coming back to the core, keeping it engaged and awake, providing anchors and support. Then we take everything we've learned and put it to the test in a CROW arm balance sequence. I highly recommend this class is you're looking to up your core game, as well as work on your crow!

    We turn the focus to building strength, stamina & stability in our Core with this latest Livestream Yoga Workout. As you make your way through class, be conscious of keeping your middle engaged, providing extra support in each pose so you can stretch further and hold them longer. Remember, on the other side of your core is your back, and we always want to provide as much support there as we can! We wrap things up with a series of Arm Balances, using our Core to make our bodies 'lighter' in each. Think Crow, Side Crow & Firefly Pose!

    Core + Flexibility...one of my favorite combos! We kick things off in Child's pose letting our core relax a little which stretching our hips and lower back. From there we start to move, alternating between backbends and core engagement, warming up the middle of our body. From there we start to hold poses, pushing our core strength with some advanced variations. But...with that said, we always start from a place of maximum support. So if you have any back issues, you can just hang out right where you are!

    For Day 35 in the NYC Yoga Series, I headed back up to a spot on the west side under the high line that I'd discovered a couple weeks earlier. With Day 35 we bring the focus back to Core, and with 34 classes under our belts we really go for it. We kick things off in Down Dog, warming our bodies up, and really don't stop till it's over. I know I say this often, but I really loved this class, and no, I don't love all of my classes equally :)

    If you're looking for a class to build flexibility and strength in your back and shoulders...then this is the class for you! We kick things off in Child's Pose, relaxing our bellies and breathing into our backs. Then we move into a back-opening sequence, alternating between backbends and core work. This whole class is leading up to Bridge & Wheel, which takes open shoulders, flexible spines & space in our quads. I HIGHLY recommend this workout - it's a good one :)

    We play the game of '3 Rounds' in the focused Workout of the Week. Each round or section of the class includes a short yoga flow, followed by an Upper Body HIIT Drill, followed by a Core Focused HIIT drill. We then repeat the same format twice more with different flows and drills. This has become one of my favorite ways to practice yoga, it keeps you on your toes and mixes things up!

    Shot on my roof with the skyline of NYC as our backdrop, in this Hiit & Run Yoga Workout we have a dual focus, core & flexibility, one of my favorite combos! We kick things off standing, flowing through a few poses that we'll be holding later, focused on creating space and mobility in our hamstrings and shoulders. In between each sequence we dive into one minute Core-focused HIIT drill. It's a great combo, one of my favorite!

Then we wrap things off with side plank and a few core focused HIIT drills on the floor. I really loved this workout. Perfect if you have 30 minutes for yoga.
