Strength + Flex 11.13.2023
We have a dual focus in this class, it's one part strength & one part flexibility. We build strength by holding poses (longer than we want too!) and 60 second drills. Flexibility comes toward the end of class once we're nice and warmed up!

Core + Flex (Livestream) 10.19.2023
Core + Flexibility...what could be better?! In this class we find the flexibility in the sequences and flows, and the core in the drills. Building flexibility is a marathon...and a little (of a lot) boring. So we pepper in the core focused drills to keep ourselves on our toes and tuned in. And to get stronger of course!

Strength + Flex (Livestream) 10.5.2023
We have a dual focus in this class, it's one part upper body strength & one part lower body flexibility. We kick things off in Childs Pose, taking a moment to slow things down and clear our minds. From there we dive right in, alternating between upper and lower body sequences. Keep in mind, whether it's building strength or building flexibility, the key to both is not only staying in poses longer than we may want too, but staying there in a calm, cool & collected way. So keep sending that signal to your brain that everything is A-OK and you'll be good to go!

Flexibility (Livestream) 9.14.2023
In today's class we turn the focus to flexibility! I know...I can hear the groans already. So here's the deal with flexibility, if it felt good to build it we would all be flexible. But it doesn't. So we're not! The key is to keep sending that signal to your brain that everything's ok. Our bodies don't like distress, and once your brain senses you're in distress, it'll get you out of that distress asap. So keep your breath smooth, and your mind clear...aka...think happy thoughts :)

We have a dual focus in class today, one part core & one part flexibility, especially in our backs and hamstrings. We kick things off in Childs Pose, warming up both the front and back of the body. And we stay with this theme through much of class, creating strength in our core while making space in our back and hamstrings. I HIGHLY recommend this class :).

Core + Backbends (Livestream) 11.17.2022
In todays class, we have a primary focus on building strength & stamina in our core, and a secondary focus of building flexibility in the back of our body. As you make your way through this class, be conscious of what's happening in the middle of your body. If you don't feel your core engaged then you're most likely in a backbend. The same holds true for backbends, when we're building flexibility in our backs, it's important to let the front of your body go :) This is a fantastic dual focus, one of my favorites! I highly recommend it.

In this Livestream Yoga Workout the focus is on flexibility; specifically building space and mobility in our hamstrings & back. We kick class off in Child's Pose, taking a moment to slow things down as well as check in lower back, getting a good sense of where we're starting from. From there we dive into a sweet flow designed to open up both the back and front of our body, alternating between Crescent, Half Splits & a Straight Leg Twist. Then we dive deeper, holding flexibility poses longer, creating even more space! We wrap things off with the splits...what could be better?! A perfect class if you're looking to grow old gracefully, and make those golden years FOR REAL golden.

Backbends (Livestream) 2.5.2022
Today we're focused on building space, mobility & flexibility in the back of our bodies. We'll be repeating many of the same poses over and over, each time going a little deeper. Push yourself to find your 'edge' within each pose, seeing how far your body can safely go. And don't hurry through this workout. To build real space we need to take our time, going slow and steady. This was a fantastic sequence!

Flexibility (Livestream) 3.19.2022
The focus is on movement and flexibility in this Livestream Workout. We start seated, taking the time to set the tone for our practice through our breath. Then we move, pretty much till the end of class, which unfortunately was cut short due to technical difficulties. So if you're looking for a short 30 minute workout that packs a punch and ends in headstand...this is the workout for you!

Backbends (Livestream) 4.16.2022
It's all about backbends in today's workout. We move a lot in the beginning of class, running through a backbend focused sequence a few times, each time going a little deeper. Then we switch gears, balancing on one leg in Eagle and then taking it into Warrior Three. From there we hold a few of the poses we moved through earlier in class, opening our shoulders and quads, as well as our backs. As you make your way through class, keep in mind that in 99% of poses, the energy moves up the front of the body and down the back. This is especially true for backbends. So always chest up, shoulders down. Enjoy!

Flex + Core (Livestream) 10.16.2021
We have a dual focus in this Livestream Yoga Workout: Core + Flexibility. We start off in Child's Pose, taking a moment to slow things down and find our breath. Then we dive in with a short Cat & Cow warmup, focused on stretching the back of our body (preparing for backbends later) while engaging the front of our body, activating our core. The first half of class is focused on building strength, stamina & stability in the front of our body, using our core to support pose after pose. From there we dive into flexibility in the back of our bodies with a series of backbend sequences. I love this dual focus and HIGHLY recommend this class :)

Weights (Livestream) 9.15.2021
In this Livestream, Yoga with Weights workouts, we're focused on building strength, period! The kind of strength that's tough to build with just yoga alone. After a short Weighted Salutation, we dive in with a challenging Weighted Crescent Flow Series. We move through Crescent, Standing Splits, a Basic Twist & Rotated Half Moon, first without the weights to get the sequence in our bodies, and then we add the resistance. We wrap things up with some hands & knees action followed by core. This was a good one and really packs a punch!
